Welcome to the Band of Brothers
The Band of Brothers PDF Print E-mail

And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he today that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap while any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

                 ~Henry V,  William Shakespeare

The term Band of Brothers has been used many times through out history, to signify a group of people united in a single goal.  We use this term with the same view. We to are united in one thing... to play.  We are simmers, roll play gammers, from D&D, Traveller, Star Trek, BSG, Star Wars, anything that can be simmed.

Each simm in this group is Independent, with no 'fleet  admiral' telling you how to play. If it is a millitary style simm, your rank does not carry over to the Out of Game areas.

Each of us are a person, and like all the other persons, we laugh, we cry, we joke, love, and live.

There are a few reasons to simm; to tell the stories, to bond with simm-mate, and to make friends. As such we have a place for that here. Safe Haven and The Band of Brothers

Safe Haven is a social forum, no fleet politics are involved, just a place to hang out, play, talk, joke, commiserate and make friends. All are welcome, join the forum and go to the introduction where you can say your a real person.

The Band of Brothers is a group of simms, if your interested in bringing a simm in the only qualifications is it has to be independent of any fleet, it has to be active, (2 players, 20 players, it don't matter as long as your playing) Just send me your request, site links, (for both site and where you play if it is two different places) and we will get you put into the system.

Friends of The Band of Brothers Simming Association

It's a cold hard world out there, that's why we all need friends.  The Band of Brothers Simming Association is very happy to have them. Our friends are listed below.

Smallport

Like Band of Brothers and Safe Haven, Smallport is a little group or community that has been around.  Both simms in Smallport are members of the Band of Brothers.  They have shown that they are friends of ours so I wish to do the same.

I paticularly like their choice in webpages. Wink  So drop by Smallport, and look around. Also be sure to stop in at Safe Haven and tell him hi.

 Guardian Force Control Console

The GFCC is a collection of fan fic works, some of which are published in the Band of Brothers main page, ( A Tale of Klingon Hearts and A Q Christmas Carol )  Be sure to drop by and see them, read some of his works.

I have.  ;)

AJJE Games

AJJE Games offers a unique, rich environment for text-based role-playing in a variety of genres.

The Dolphins of Gorall PDF Print E-mail
Written by Valentine
“Deep-eyed” they called it, where others might have used phrases like ‘daydreamer, or head in the clouds’, maybe even ‘touched.’ But Gorall’s Cove was a place long used to making their own way, holding their own traditions. Unlike so many of their ‘short water’ neighbours they fished the endless dark ‘Green’ out beyond the land shelf that bordered their sea bounded land. Where the hardy salt-sea folk of Uppingholm and Hujja cast their nets into the blue waters within sight of the green hills, where the scents of pasture and heather could still be gleaned on the wind, the men of Gorall went out further, crossing that literal line where the sea race surged and the upswll of deep current tossed the tiny, shingle-built boats of the fishermen like so much chaff upon a landsman’s wind.

Out there land and the homes upon it became cherished memories, secured within to warm as the ice-winds blew; out there brave men could sweep in a season more than a short water sailor could hope for in a half dozen years of his own labour and occasional treasures on top of that. But as one might expect there was a price for the bounty, a cost to be paid for the generosity of the deep; as the silent name-stones on Gorall’s hill bore mute testimony to.

Today another was being added to the witness, a sea-washed shard extracted at peril from the cliff’s edge and painfully carved with the name of another brave soul lost to the Price.

Serve the Vulpine Empire
I'm looking for department heads and assorted crew members for my ST simm that's a little bit different. It's based off a race designed by myself, there's more information on the site itself. Here's the roster to show the vacant positions. http://rvnsfairmaidenshand.forumotio...-duty-roster#4

Any questions then email me on ethan_doig@hotmail.co.uk. The address is also my IM handle. Hope to hear from you soon

The ship's origin is that of the Vulpine Empire. For millennia they've been under siege from the Klingons, Kzinti and Romulans but managed to (barely) hold them back with their powerful yet small fleet and an army of loyal, genetically enhanced soldiers (trust me, god-mod isn't even an option there)

In 2373 they joined the Federation thereby gaining the obvious perks such as diplomatic and military protection. Now with the guns of their enemies at a rest the Vulpine people find themselves in a strange moment; peace. It's now 2400 and the future of the Empire and its people are uncertain.

The Royal Vulpine Naval Ship Fair Maiden's Hand*has been commissioned for a mission exploration. While some Vulpine have joined Starfleet the majority of them still take commissions within the Vulpine military.

You can either join as a Vulpine: A proud and hardy people who's genetic enhancements have kept them from tipping over the edge towards defeat.

A Lupus: A Vulpine 'subspecies' when the genetic enhancements fail to take hold. They do not possess increased strength, speed, lifespan and all of the other advantages but they are still Vulpine through and through-an option for those who find genetic enhancements hard to play without going over the top and still enjoy the cultural aspect.

A non-Vulpine Naval Officer: For the first time the Navy is accepting alien candidates from Federation species. Maybe your mother or father as Vulpine, maybe you found it a better career prospect to Starfleet. You decide.

Starfleet Exchange Officer: Thanks to Federation membership Starfleet Officers now have the ability to temporally transfer their commission to the Vulpine Naval Fleet.
The Klingons are Here!!!
We have been the fiercest adversary of the Federation, and recently it's staunchest ally. We are a ruthless warrior race, driven by an instinct for violence and defined by a complex code of honor. To survive, we must push outward. Conquer our enemies and claim land for the glory of our Empire. We are Klingons.

We seek all who have the heart of a warrior to join us in telling the continuing story of the Klingon Empire. We are a group of writers who pride ourselves on our portrayal of Star Trek’s Klingon Race based on the canon of the Star Trek genre.

Our Role Playing game is based on the frontier colony world of H’atoria and the newly constructed Klingon Star base that orbits it. Already the players are building the back stories for their characters and preparing for our game start on October 1, 2011.

We welcome players of all levels and any canon Star Trek species is allowed but it should be noted that this is a Klingon game, based within the Klingon Empire and as such any character of another race or species should act accordingly to avoid being challenged to the death.

We encourage character development and the intertwining of stories and houses within the game. We will be running Station and ship based “missions” but our main objective is for each player to tell their story along with the story of the setting.

Several positions are available.
The Tiptree Chronicles
There was a time when Star fleets only goal was to seek out new life and go where no man has gone before. That mission over time was lost to the constant skirmishes and war that Star Fleet and the Federation seemed to have faced over many years. That time has now passed an uneasy truce in the four quadrants has allowed Star Fleet to return to its original mission of exploration. Whilst the Federations looks to unit once bitter foes. The USS Tiptree is launched to Continue where great ships have left off and to return a long forgotten legacy.

I am looking for a number of positions in all departments

Chief Science Officer Chief Medical Officer Assistant Security Chief Assistant Medical Chief Marines Co Marine Xo

All other Positions as well considered.
