Welcome to the Band of Brothers
|
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be remembered- We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he today that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition; And gentlemen in England now-a-bed Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap while any speaks That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day. ~Henry V, William Shakespeare The term Band of Brothers has been used many times through out history, to signify a group of people united in a single goal. We use this term with the same view. We to are united in one thing... to play. We are simmers, roll play gammers, from D&D, Traveller, Star Trek, BSG, Star Wars, anything that can be simmed. Each simm in this group is Independent, with no 'fleet admiral' telling you how to play. If it is a millitary style simm, your rank does not carry over to the Out of Game areas. Each of us are a person, and like all the other persons, we laugh, we cry, we joke, love, and live. There are a few reasons to simm; to tell the stories, to bond with simm-mate, and to make friends. As such we have a place for that here. Safe Haven and The Band of Brothers Safe Haven is a social forum, no fleet politics are involved, just a place to hang out, play, talk, joke, commiserate and make friends. All are welcome, join the forum and go to the introduction where you can say your a real person. The Band of Brothers is a group of simms, if your interested in bringing a simm in the only qualifications is it has to be independent of any fleet, it has to be active, (2 players, 20 players, it don't matter as long as your playing) Just send me your request, site links, (for both site and where you play if it is two different places) and we will get you put into the system. |

We have three different Star Trek Fleets in the Band of Brothers
"We are who we are." ~ Rear-Admiral Estaban Maturin (when asked why TF-44 'Grey Mist' didn't change it's name and number when leaving Bravo Fleet) Gray Mist has been who they were for over a decade. We are a group of simmers, but more then that, we are a family. We watch out for each other, and help one another where ever we can. That has been the way of Grey Mist from the beginning. And it will be that way well past the time of the end too. For we won't die and go away. We are the Grey Mist! Grey Mist is made up of two different times in the Star Trek universe. TF-22 covers TOS, TMP, and the new movie's alternate universe. TF-44 is set in the Post Nemesis time period. We have friendly places for you to play, pick a simm and join it, or if command is more your style, pick a ship in the Open Commands area and apply for the position of Captain.
Our own Milky Way is a spiral galaxy, a hundred billion stars arrayed in a vast pinwheel 100,000 light years across. But there are bigger, more majestic galaxies than ours. The prosaically named M101 is such a monster: it's nearly twice the width of the Milky Way, and may have as many as a trillion stars. At 25 million light years from Earth, M101 looks like a faint smudge through binoculars, and a typical telescope will show you a nice view of its spiral arms Entrance into the Galaxy is through one of a series of gates. The only one currently known to the Federation is at Sar Chi. Passage through the gate takes you to T'Sar Chi Come explore it with them!
Tenth Fleet It was never suppose to come so after the Dominion War, but war has once more claim the Alpha and Beta Quadrant and this time it is two former enemies going up against each other. Kaleb is the outer-most Federation world near the Klingon Border and was one of the first world re-enforced with the 10th MEF and the world was in the mist of being evacuated when the attack came. So cut off from the Federation and outnumber 2:1, the 10th MEF has to protect the non-combatants and keep the world in Federation control. Do you think you have the stones to serves in this war and fight for your very lives. |

Friends of the Band of Brothers |

It's a cold hard world out there, that's why we all need friends. The Band of Brothers Simming Association is very happy to have them. Our friends are listed below.
Like Band of Brothers and Safe Haven, Smallport is a little group or community that has been around. Both simms in Smallport are members of the Band of Brothers. They have shown that they are friends of ours so I wish to do the same. I paticularly like their choice in webpages. So drop by Smallport, and look around. Also be sure to stop in at Safe Haven and tell him hi.
The GFCC is a collection of fan fic works, some of which are published in the Band of Brothers main page, ( A Tale of Klingon Hearts and A Q Christmas Carol ) Be sure to drop by and see them, read some of his works. I have. ;)
RP World is a privately owned roleplay/simming site. The aim is to provide a free, quality and fun place to simm or roleplay. |

You've all seen him. A human with a Klingon baldric. The one who keeps to himself, doesn't socialize much, and because of that is an enigma wrapped in a riddle and deep fried in a mystery. But what is his story, just how did he come to lead the life he has? Perhaps this will shed some light on it. 2 Days Ago Adam McAndrew, 8 years old, had already decided he didn’t like school. Granted, it was the first day of elementary school, but it took him away from his mother. He knew just fine how to read, and he knew his numbers, so why should he have to go? “Good morning class,” the teacher greeted them as they sat down. “Good morning Lady T’vel,” Replied the students. “Today were going to talk about the history of this sector of space,” T’vel explained as she turned on the monitor. “Adam, can you tell me who controlled this system two hundred and thirty years ago?” “Who cares, we control it now.” “That answer is illogical, one must learn their history.” “What is there to learn except whoever it was wasn’t as good as Starfleet?” If the Vulcan standing in front of the class was irritated, she didn’t show it. Typical for a Vulcan he supposed, he still didn’t see the point. “Very well, Tomen Laren, do you have an answer?” Laren; arguably the smartest child in the colony Adams age; smiled from ear to ear as she began to give a lengthy answer. “Ma’am, this area of space used to be controlled by the Romulans. After the old Earth-Romulan War they abandoned several sectors of space prior to the establishment of the Neutral Zone. Since then, other than an occasional encounter with a stray ship, the Federation has had little to no contact with the Romulan Star Empire.” “Very good Laren, you’ve just answered my next three questions.” Laren practically glowed like a star; the rest of the class just rolled their eyes. T’vel was about to continue when her console beeped. She moved back over to it and pressed a control. “Yes?” The class strained to listen, but couldn’t quite make out what was being said. “Very well,” she replied to whoever was there, and pressed another control. The screen behind her changed showing the school prefect; a Bolian Adam couldn’t quite remember the name of. “Good morning students, I’ve just received important news from the Federation Council,” he said. His voice was low and solemn, even a four year old could tell something was up. “Two weeks ago, the USS Enterprise under command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard encountered a ship from the Romulan Star Empire. Before retreating back into the Neutral Zone the Romulan Commander left a message, simply saying ‘We’re back.’ The Federation feels that, due to our proximity to the Neutral Zone, that caution is advised. They will be sending the USS Pinafore to defend the sector; she will arrive in one week. While I welcome the ship and her crew, I am confident it is unnecessary.” The screen went blank, replaced with the colony crest, as T’vel turned to her class. “In light of this news,” she started. “It seems logical to send you home. And Adam, be sure to read up on the colony history.” |

USS Retribution
Star Trek game aboard a Sovereign NX class star ship in the late 2300's and we are all over the galaxy.
Currently the Ret is in orbit over the planet Ferasa, better known as Cait on what was a diplomatic mission, and to return a Caitian diplomat. However, there is more than meets the eye on this normally placid planet. Three members of the crew have been kidnaped, a bomb was detonated in the street outside the senate Chambers, the Tholians have sent three war ships to investigate the destruction of one of their freighters above Cait.
And . . . unbeknownst to the crew, some old ‘friends’ are behind most of this, if not all of it, and they have their sights set on the Ret and her crew.
This is the fourth leg of the story arc
The Ret is looking for writers who want to experience something a little different. We have many possibilities for positions aboard the sim. Stop by and check it out.
We’re Mature in nature, so we’d like mature writers. We’ve yet to set an age limit.

USS Steadfast: Exploration, Adventure, and More
I could tell you a lot about the Steadfast. How its an Intrepid class. How we'll go out on long missions but we'll also be granted shore leave on some very interesting Alpha Quadrant worlds. How together we'll meet (and create) some brand new species and how sometimes we'll be meeting old friends ... and enemies. How we're in a difficult spot but the emphasis will be on first contact situations, exploring unknown areas of a new galaxy, and looking for solutions that don't always involve phaser blasts.
But before we get into the specifics, take a moment to think about where you'd like your simming home to be. The Steadfast is a community of writers who share Gene Roddenberry's vision of our possible future. And in the spirit of that vision, we'll focus on exploration and adventure and on finding ways to solve the problems thrown at us that don't always involve blowing stuff up.
On the Steadfast, you'll encounter giant spiders ... a dinner-stealing dog ... old enemies with new ideas, and a roster of NPCs. You'll have room to tell your character's personal story, participate in mini-away teams, and shape events in the Eye of Ra galaxy through your own actions (or inaction).
Currently, we are recruiting for all department head positions. We're looking for serious players who can commit to simming regularly -- minimum once/week.
The Steady is really going to go where no one has gone before. Here's hoping you'll decide to come along for the ride.
