And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be remembered- We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he today that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition; And gentlemen in England now-a-bed Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap while any speaks That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day. ~Henry V, William Shakespeare The term Band of Brothers has been used many times through out history, to signify a group of people united in a single goal. We use this term with the same view. We to are united in one thing... to play. We are simmers, roll play gammers, from D&D, Traveller, Star Trek, BSG, Star Wars, anything that can be simmed. Each simm in this group is Independent, with no 'fleet admiral' telling you how to play. If it is a millitary style simm, your rank does not carry over to the Out of Game areas. Each of us are a person, and like all the other persons, we laugh, we cry, we joke, love, and live. There are a few reasons to simm; to tell the stories, to bond with simm-mate, and to make friends. As such we have a place for that here. Safe Haven and The Band of Brothers Safe Haven is a social forum, no fleet politics are involved, just a place to hang out, play, talk, joke, commiserate and make friends. All are welcome, join the forum and go to the introduction where you can say your a real person. The Band of Brothers is a group of simms, if your interested in bringing a simm in the only qualifications is it has to be independent of any fleet, it has to be active, (2 players, 20 players, it don't matter as long as your playing) Just send me your request, site links, (for both site and where you play if it is two different places) and we will get you put into the system. |

Code named "Grey Mist" Task Forces 22 and, Task Force 44 represent the heart of Starfleet's Exploration and Intelligence operations across three time-lines. The Task groups of TF-22 bring you the possibilities of both the 'TOS/TMP' Era known from The Original series and movies it spawned, and the new Re-imagined time-line created by the most recent Star Trek movie. The Task Groups of TF-44 bring you the Universe of Star Trek set 377 years in the future, following the events of DS9, voyager, and Star Trek: Nemisis.
Task Force 22 brings you two distinct Task Groups for Old School Trek simmers to enjoy. If your desire is to play on a simm set in between the 2260s and 2280s then Task Group Pathfinder is the place for you. With simms set in both the TOS and TMP eras you are certain to find adventure in a galaxy that is much unexplored, and such antagonists as the Klingons, Romulans, and more. However, if you are more interested in playing in the time-line created by the re-imagined Star Trek created by JJ Abrams, then Task Group Spectre is where you will find the adventure you seek.
Task Force 44 is set in the far future, after the events of Star Trek Nemisis. TF-44 is the Headquarters of Starfleet's Intelligence gathering efforts. When you think of Intelligence, you think Spies, Stealth, recon missions. What you may not think of, is the sense of family and cohesion inherit in SF Intell. Add to that the fact that in the 'Grey Mist' we gather all Intelligence, not just Military Intelligence, and you will see our true goal of seeking the Unknown, where ever and what ever it may be.
Here ain the Grey Mist, we aren't simply another simm group. We are a community. We work together towards a common goal. The betterment of ourselves and of Starfleet. Out in the far reaches of the Federation border, amongst peoples such as the Kzinti Hegemony, and the Pleiades Cluster, the only ones you can count on are the officers and crew around you. But not just your own ship, but everyone within the Task Force. We strive to encourage an atmosphere in which we can flourish as community and as a family. We are Grey Mist. The strength of our family will go on for countless generations. Be a part of that, and join now. Our current commander is Major General

Like Band of Brothers and Safe Haven, Smallport is a little group or community that has been around. Both simms in Smallport are members of the Band of Brothers. They have shown that they are friends of ours so I wish to do the same. Smallport I paticularly like their choice in webpages. So drop by Smallport, and look around. Also be sure to stop in at Safe Haven and tell him hi. The GFCC is a collection of fan fic works, some of which are published in the Band of Brothers main page, ( A Tale of Klingon Hearts and A Q Christmas Carol ) Be sure to drop by and see them, read some of his works. I have. ;) |

Written by Captain Fernandez and Cara Letsul
|
It was a long day, Cara had gone over quite a few files of the various crew members onboard the King George. There was one file she hadn't touched just yet, it was the file of Lupe Fernandez, no she wasn't going to attach any rank in her mind at the moment, this was dealing with the person. Fernandez was a mixture of alot of emotions and she knew after the meeting she had with him in his office, he had a rather hefty psychological burden he was carrying. Making some tea for herself, Cara decided she'd finally open up the file concerning him. As she read, Cara could feel herself tapping into the under-lying emotions that were in the files.
=^= [Almost 10 years earlier]
Having been asked to join a Intel project while his ship the USS Gandhi was stripped, refit, and rebuilt, Lt(jg) Fernandez took the job. He was shipped off to an intensive school where he and his classmates were put through lessons, tests, both mental and physical and those that failed a test were washed out. Not all of them rejoined Starfleet core again, some washed right out of the service, broken beyond use.
That only made the cover story better...
By graduation each one had the tools for survival in deep cover, we are talking live among the enemy for years kind of operation. Then each of them were washed out of the service, failed Officers, malcontents, the dross left over from Starfleet Officer refining process.
Fernandez was lost, he had been stripped of his rank, stripped of his commission. Thrown out of the service. He was in the market for a ship, pretty much any ship, he could not be picky. So when a vessel named Victory showed up it seemed to be a sign.

USS Semmelweis
USS Semmelweis in Grey Mist's Task Force 22 is in need of a dedicated Medical and Science Personnel. A Miranda Class vessel the Semmelweis is a part of a task force that focuses on the TOS TMP and the Alternate universe timeline. So I you dare to do rise to the challenge.
USS Penelope
The USS Penelope, and Intrepid class, Black Ops starship is looking for a few good crew. I have susppended all parental restictions so have to warn folks it is a "mature" simm. We don't go completely by the rules and the more eccentric the characters the better! Most of our postiions are wide open and we would very much like to welcome all comers. I will happily entertain just about any character concept and don't censor, except to maintain good literary standards and relavence to the plot (and for grammer and spelling).
Please stop by and take a look or email me at COUSSHunley@gmail.com or IM me at Ferres_Mors on YIM, ferresmors@hotmail.com on MSN or WilliamdeGeillon on AIM.
Take a look, read a few posts and if you like what you see, give is a try. I hopw to hear from you soon.
HMS Terpsichore
The Terpsichore is the Frigate that attack the Spanish First Rate Santísima Trinidad. The Santísima Trinidad mounted 136 guns to Terpsichore's 32, and is the largest warship in the world. Terpsichore inflicted several casualties, before discontinuing the attack.
Now under the command of Captain Ruben Williams, formerly of the Sloop Dragonfly, Captain Williams and the HM Sloop Dragonfly were the ones that captured or destroyed over 2000 tons of cargo in French and Spanish prizes. When the Dragonfly payed off, the sailor men had so much gold they went ashore and set up shops, retiring from the sea to a life of ease.
No hanging around in the Bay of Biscay, no Brest blockade, no toing and froing for a Squadron of battleships. This valiant ship and lucky Captain are going far foreign, under the Red Ensign of the Admiralty.
Singing and dancing on the Fo’c’sle every night, 16 oz to the pound vittles, a gallon of beer, quart of wine, or half a pint of rum every day of the week, and plum duff every Sunday!
Captain William has been persuaded to take a few more Officers, and men.
So join us now! Meet at the Rendezvous ( http://terpsichore.st-bob.net/ )
The setting starts in December of 1797, Portsmouth Harbor. It will be a simm about the life of Sailors, and Marines in the Royal Navy. It's not reliving history, it's a story about people. It will not always be exactly accurate, we will try but not everyone is a scholar of the time period, all I expect is for a player to do their best and enjoy themselves.
I have used the HMS Terpsichore in the same manor that Patrick O'Brian had used the HMS Surprise to tell his story. We know were the Terpsichore was during the time we have set to play but in this case I am willing to suspend that knowledge to tell a story. The reason I have used the Terp is because I have commanded a ship named for her in a 22nd century setting of Star Trek (Excelsior Class), and Executive Officer in another in the same time line (Constitution Refit Class), and in my research have grown very fond of the ship and her life.
This simm will have some racist tones but only those that fit the time-period, and only IC. No out of character racism will be tolerated. This is a story about a Royal Navy ship, and that was part of the life in the Royal Navy of the time.
The HMS Terpsichore simm is marked mature for language, violence, and adult theme. If you wish to follow the story you must become a Terpsichore lurker on the forum Safe Haven ( http://st-bob.com/ ). The Out of Game board will remain public and be PG-13.
